Why I became a Governor	Prior to my application for the Governor vacancy at Endon Hall Primary & Nursery School I had been researching Primary Schools in the area ahead of deciding which school to select as the first choice for my daughter to attend in September’s intake. During this time, I read about the previous Ofsted inspection carried out at Endon Hall, including the areas identified as good and the areas requiring improvement. When the Finance and HR Governor vacancy was advertised, I saw this as an opportunity to use the skills and knowledge I had acquired throughout my professional career to the benefit of the school and, as a parent, to have an influence over the direction and future success of the school.
The day job!	Regulatory Compliance Manager at HSBC UK Commercial Bank
What do I contribute?	I have over 20 years’ experience working within the Financial Services Industry, specifically retail banking, commercial banking and consumer credit. I believe my financial and leadership experience will help me carry out my role as a Co-opted Governor, providing support and challenge to the school leadership team.
