Our Nursery

About Endon Hall Nursery

At Endon Hall Primary & Nursery School we aim to inspire all children to achieve their academic and personal best, instilling a lifetime love of learning. We are ambitious and strive for excellence in everything we do.

We have our own Nursery provision, catering for 2 year olds (please talk to us about the best time for your 2 year old to start), Rising 3’s, and 3-4 year olds. The Nursery is managed by the Headteacher and Governors of Endon Hall Primary School.

The vision and core values upheld at Endon Hall start from Nursery and are part of all we do throughout a child’s journey with us. Our Nursery staff are highly experienced and committed professionals, with the qualifications, qualities and expertise required to make the provision a success.

Our Nursery is a fun, exciting place to be, with indoor and outdoor learning opportunities in place across all areas of the EYFS curriculum:

      • communication and language
      • personal, social and emotional development
      • physical development
      • literacy
      • mathematics
      • understanding the world
      • expressive arts and design

High Quality Provision

Our school motto, ‘inspire today to achieve tomorrow’, extends into our Nursery, along with our ethos and high expectations for education provision. The rationale for the Nursery is, first and foremost, to extend the high quality teaching and learning already in place at Endon Hall to youngsters in our community, from as early an age as possible. The Early Years Foundation Stage extends from birth to the age of five and provision within our Nursery follows this statutory guidance. In addition, the principles of the curriculum we have developed at Endon Hall apply.

Endon Little Learners – local playgroup

We have links with the Endon Little Learners local playgroup and have visited during their sessions to meet new children and families in our locality. This enables us to get out into the community and share our love of learning with children of an even younger age.

Other local nurseries

Children join us from a range of different nursery settings. We take time to carry out visits to children’s previous settings, or to do home visits, to aid transition and start the journey with our new starters. Knowing a little bit about the children who will be joining us really helps.
