Why I became a Governor	My daughter joined the school and I always hoped to find a way to be involved and support the school and the local community in which it serves. With my role in school I wanted to be able to give back and when the opportunity arose I was very excited to be involved. I fully understand the role that governors play and how they support the school and help to contribute to the learning and opportunities of all the children and their families along with the wider community.
The day job!	I am Head of School at a primary school in Stoke-on-Trent.
What do I contribute?	I have a current background in education and a specialism in Special Educational Needs. Over my 14 years in education I have taught in different key stages and led core subjects as well as SEND and Pupil Premium. I feel my background and current knowledge of education and polices gives me key skills I can contribute to the school.
